Our Story
Our names are Jason and Kristin Lentz. We met in 2014 through CrossFit; Jason was coaching at the time and Kristin came to one his seminars. Fast forward years later and we are now married with our children Finn and Charlie. It has always been a dream of Jason’s to open his own gym. After coaching and managing gyms for the past 10 years, that dream has become a reality with CrossFit Convergence! We opened CrossFit Convergence as a place to bring people together and build relationships, while improving their health and fitness. We want to create a culture of encouragement, inclusion, and growth, and every day we strive to make fitness safe, effective, and fun.
Staff
CF-L3, CF Mobility, CSCS I started coaching CrossFit over 10 years ago after finishing my degree in exercise science from the University of Florida. Since then, I’ve helped countless clients achieve their goals and become part of the CrossFit community. I love that anyone can do CrossFit. Every workout can be fun and effective for anyone. It’s been so much fun to see our CFC community grow and I can’t wait to see you in the gym!
CF-L2 I was not a student athlete in high school, I didn’t even enjoy exercise as an adult. But, I was now a wife and mother of two little girls and I wanted to do everything with them and for them. I walked into my first class in 2015 having never picked up a barbell in my life. It didn’t matter because I had a coach to scale the workout for me and a community of friends to encourage me. I was having such a good time that I didn’t even realize my body was becoming conditioned and strong.
CF-L2 I stepped into my first CrossFit gym in 2015 and was immediately hooked. CrossFit emulates a lot of what I missed about sports. As a youth I participated in most team sports, and the CrossFit community mirrors that team environment. After getting hooked, I earned my CF-L1 in July 2021 and have enjoyed the privilege of coaching since. During the day I work as an IT Consultant with a focus in DevOps and Systems Administration. I can’t wait to meet you!
CF-L1 I quite literally fell in love with CrossFit over 10 years ago. What started as new post collegiate exercise regimen, turned into finding my husband at CrossFit, working out through my pregnancy/postpartum stages of life and now coaching. CrossFit has been my constant through all major stages of life and my story is a testament to the physical and emotional benefits CrossFit can play throughout your entire life. While I’m not chasing around my two children, you can find me in the gym.
CF-L1 My CrossFit journey began with a random drop in with hopes of changing my health habits, growing into a beautiful life change which has transferred into every aspect of my life, and has now brought me to receiving my CF-L1. When I’m not in the gym I work at FSU as an academic advisor, and am pursuing a graduate degree in molecular biology. I’m so excited to serve our member base as a new coach!
